Area Spas Provide Pure Relaxation

The Fishers area is replete with luxurious day spas offering a full range of services from manicures to aromatherapy massages. Among the local spas are Dream Weaver Salon and Day Spa, Flirt Salon and Spa, Salon 01, Villaggio Day Spa, Urth Tones Salon & Spa, Facets Medical Day Spa and Bliss Salon and Skincare, to name a few.
One of the most recent additions to that list is Oxyspa, a full-service facility that is the first in the state to offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
The facility, which opened in May 2007 on Cumberland Road, is the brainchild of Mark and Louanne Merrell, whose interest in the treatment is more than just business. Their daughter is autistic, and the couple long ago discovered the benefits Mild Hyperbaric Therapy brought her.
“It helps that I’m not selling something I don’t believe in,” Mark Merrell says.
Included on the Oxyspa staff is Medical Director Dr. David Darbro, a board-certified physician who has spent the last 25 years devoted to wellness medicine.
