While Riverview Hospital is not currently partaking in the push to construct in the Exit 10 area, the facility hardly is standing still.
“There is always work going on at hospitals,” says Sarah Estell, director of marketing for Riverview Hospital.
In 2006, the hospital opened a new, 15,000-square-foot emergency center at its facility in Noblesville. The new center employs 350 people.
In 2006, Riverview’s Chest Pain Center earned accreditation from the Society of Chest Pain Centers. The designation recognizes outstanding service in chest pain care and accredits Riverview for stent placements and balloon angioplasties 24 hours per day.
“Several years ago, Riverview made the commitment to bring the most comprehensive cardiology program to Noblesville and surrounding communities,” says Tammi Nash, director of the hospital’s heart and vascular center.
The center is in the process of undergoing a reorganization to bring services into a single location. The center will also add another cath lab during the effort, which is expected to be complete by the end of 2008.
A similar centralization effort has been made to the hospital’s cancer center services.
And as of early 2008, Riverview was putting finishing touches on a multi-specialty facility at 146th Street and Cumberland Road.
