Fishers Amenities Attract Active Retirees
living, real estate, retirement,
When it comes to retirement, the goal for many people is to finally be able to relax and reap the benefits after years of hard work. For many retirees, that means a new stage of life in adult communities.
Adult communities have become more like resorts than assisted living, and Britton Falls is the perfect example that life begins at retirement. In Britton Falls, the community is so alluring, retirement isn’t even a requirement.
“Make no mistake, this is an active adult community, not assisted living,” says Deborah Doodeman, a sales assistant for Britton Falls by Del Webb. “Half of our homeowners are still employed, and most residents are busier now than ever before.”
Britton Falls features more than 1,000 homes that range in size from 1,200 to 2,600 square feet.
The crown jewel of the community is The Chateau, the 23,000-square-foot amenity center, with indoor and outdoor pools, bocce and tennis courts. The center includes a fitness center, billiard room and even a ballroom, complete with dance floor.
“We are a lifestyle community offering an a la carte menu of events and activities to enrich the lives of our homeowners on a daily basis,” Doodeman says. “We have 44 different clubs and groups that are currently in motion, offering activities such as bowling; bridge; water aerobics; pilates; yoga; ballroom, swing and line dance lessons; oil painting; pottery; jewelry making; choral groups; men’s groups; golf; sewing ... The list is extensive, and new activities are created on an almost daily basis.”
